The word “Palestinian” is very modern. They have never had a state, a government, etc. that Israel could have “taken from” them. Israelis & others were originally called Palestines, which is why the British Mandate of Palestine was named that pre-WW2. 5,000 years of history, not post-holocaust. 😞

Or: "The Geneva Conventions of 1949. United Nations General Assembly Resolution 3236 which "reaffirms also the inalienable right of the Palestinians to return to their homes and property from which they have been displaced and uprooted, and calls for their return".

The idea that Palestinian means Arab is the only new thing about it.

The Arabs started wars in 48, 67, and 73, launching assaults from the West Bank, Gaza and Sinai, so Israel took them over to stop that. Egypt got Sinai back in the Camp David Accords.
