👉🏽 “those who write an article, a story, or a series of stories, about the Governor, the Lieutenant Governor, a Cabinet officer, or any member of the Legislature, and receives or will receive payment for doing so, must register with state offices within 5 days after the publication of an article”

DeSantis wants to treat paid bloggers as political lobbyists. As always, the initial point of these laws is to be as intentionally vague, as possible, in order to stoke fear. Their hope is for the targets of their attacks (in this case bloggers) to self-ban and cede ground without pushback.
