And reasonably intelligent people know that obviously isn't going to happen. We should ask those who think like this if they would be willing to give up their recent pay increases in order to get prices back down to the previous levels because pay increases are also part of the inflation equation.

There's literally no argument one can put in front of them that will change their sentiment about this. The smart politicians will get that. Most social media folks will continue to whine that they just don't understand the big picture.

That's why smart politicians find a way to get elected.
