I always thought the Chicago loop was the scariest place to drive, but a recent trip to Toronto changed my mind. Sorry, Chicago, but they've got you beat...Toronto is a truly lovely city--IF you survive the drive in 😮

I've driven in Houston, Connecticut, LA, Columbus, Vegas, & St. Louis (some included in cross country trips from Columbus to Danbury CT; Danbury to S Vermont; S Vermont to Columbus; Columbus to Las Vegas to Camarillo, CA; Simi Valley to Austin; Austin to Columbus & back.

Connecticut was scariest.

Connecticut...that surprises me! What's really scary is that itenirary you spelled out: mercy! Only thing I have to compare is making the drive from Toronto to Kansas City in one go (16 hrs) Wake up in the dark in 1 country arrive home in the dark in another...fun 😵‍💫

Vermont to Columbus:

At 19, I made the trip non-stop by myself.

Columbus to Vegas to Camarillo:

At 25, I had never been east of Ohio. I towed my car behind a 17' U-Haul.

Simi Valley to Austin:

At 39, drove a 26' U-Haul, followed by my fil in his car, and my wife and mil in wife's car.
