I just finished reading Geddy Lee's memoir, "My Effin' Life," and he devoted a whole chapter to the experiences of his mother and father and their families during The Holocaust. It's not something you expected, but he did it to illustrate the trauma passed on to him.

Here, from the last paragraph on page 40:
"I feel we're living in an era that seems to have forgotten what can and will happen when fascism rears its head. I think we all need reminding of it in the face of those who either deny the past or never knew about it in the first place."

So, I’ve been a Rush fan for as long as I have memory, but unsure to pick up his memoir, is it worth it for someone who listens more than reads overall?

I think so. It's not any kind of "tell-all," but it gives a dynamic look at what he and the band went through on their rise to glory. And Geddy's story is amazing, especially in how he grew up.
