Ford's Ontario will take away jobs from teens who won't be able to work at convenience stores or gas stations. This also makes Ontario less safe.

I am strongly opposed to this proposed legislation. We have a good system that manages alcohol consumption and keeps it out of the hands of young people

The teens will work in the plants once all the pesky rules and safety inspections are gone, remember? Ford needs to cater to the highest lobbying bidder, and distract from all the corruption scandals.

It depends on how they implement it.

When my state moved to allowing beer and wine sales at grocery and convenience stores, this was one of the concerns too. It was solved with specific registers for alcohol sales which minor employees can't use. They can work the stores, just not alc sales.

Don't convenience stores and gas stores sell cigarettes? I'm sure they already have systems in place for teens to work at these stores and sell the cigarettes.
