A friend of mine was telling me that he has to have surgery, he tore tendons in his knee last week. English isn't his first language, so he was describing the surgery because he couldn't think of the word and I wanted to tell him it sounded like it would be done arthroscopically.

I googled "arthroscopy" to make sure I was spelling it correctly: "A surgeon inserts a narrow tube attached to a fiber-optic video camera through a small incision — about the size of a buttonhole."

Boy, did I misread THAT at first. ✴️
