Honestly, it wouldn't be. Some of the most popular websites on the internet are built on free open-source code. That is why most coders were like "so what?" I get annoyed because it is an insult to the people who work on Spoutible 5 - 6 days a week.
dani @danismashingit
$89 would be impressive as hell though 😜

Exactly!! @ "so what?"

The trolls & grifters trying to make a scandal out of it expect everyone to be ignorant of web developing & coding. Most of the websites on the internet are using opensource website scripts. The coding of customizations & additional features to make it your own takes skill

They're losing manipulable audience (note: we all are--it's not a judgment) while simultaneously continuing the manipulation of those for whom racism (and perhaps other aspects, related to Musk/Dorsey, tech, etc.) are manipulable.

Nobody would sell you a complex set of code for $89. Way below the price at which entering into a commercial contract would be worth while from the sellers perspective; at that price the buyer would have to spend >100* to check the code wasn't full of backdoors before considering it.

And the buyer would want to know what documentation was available, what support would be provided in deployment and use, what the security patching schedule and guaranteed lifetime was, etc..

It's not a desktop compressed file application (looking at you Winzip) it's so much bigger.
