There is no logic. For the last few months I’ve been building a new running app. Everyone I talk to about it says it looks “awesome” or “great”, but they don’t sign up because it costs $7 a month. When asked, they say they want it to be free.

People wonder why change doesn’t happen.

This is why.😔

Most people seem to want everything to be free. Libraries, museums, music, zoos. They don’t care that it costs a lot of money to offer all these services or products.

I think these things are different because they’re offered largely from public funds such as taxes. What bothers me about large companies, is how things like the App Store and social media has made people expect new ventures to be free which forces companies to fail or use data. Neither are good.

My youngest son is a musician and composer. We have had many discussions about paying for music. Most people seem to be just fine with illegal downloads or copying music from a friend. It is stealing but people still feel entitled to use it without paying for it.
