Rule of thumb: if a message comes from a source I have not stored in my contact list, I report it to my mobile provider, and delete it. It if turns out I was wrong, so be it. "Better safe than sorry" is not cliché, it's sound advice.

PSA: Smushing scams. The Federal Trade Commission reports that Americans lost $330 million from smishing scams in 2022, with a median loss of $1,000.

I do the same thing for all my email accounts as well as my cell, if I don't have you in my contacts, I don't answer and you get swiped straight to VM which I only check once it's full, about once every 2 to 3 months so don't leave a msg either LOL
