We ended up taking him today, with a stuffie in tow and some snacks. Thanks for the tips, everyone!

He did well — except the new Puss n Boots isn’t exactly a laugh riot. He’s hunted by wolves. We left after 30 minutes. Next time research the movie more! He enjoyed the race game on the way out.

It can be tough. Way back when, we took my then-5 yo daughter to see Finding Nemo. She was fine for most of it, but we had to leave the theater for awhile during the shark scene

Still, better than my mom's 1st movie in a theater. At the age of 12, she saw Psycho. It was 6 more years before she went to see another movie.

Made the same mistake with 'Bambi' when mine was that age. 😬

I took my son to an animated movie once & in the first 10 minutes all the animals’ parents died from some sort of noxious fumes. Yikes.

Another time, I took my daughter & her middle school friends to a movie — Something About Mary. Ummm. Mistake. Adult content (but hilarious!) Lolol

Oh jeez—that’s almost as bad as being hunted by wolves with red eyes and huge claws!! 😂

I'm sorry the movie was a bust, but he looks happy at the wheel. 🙂

The good news is, I think a lighter, funnier movie would work next time.
