We don't follow standard traditions for either holiday. Tomorrow's dinner will be seared duck breast with cherry balsamic glaze, Syracuse potatoes, roasted brussels, and mixed green salad with crasins, pecans, and green apple with a cherry balsamic dressing.

Thank you, it should be if I execute it correctly. We tend to stay away from marketing traditions and go with things that we prefer.

I was raised by a single dad, he was all about his family traditional Thanksgiving & would get up early to cook it, if we weren't traveling. Christmas Eve & Christmas were appetizers & then either duck or goose depending on what bird was available with fall and winter hunting.

My dad did the cooking until I was old enough to help. I forgot about pheasant being one of the proteins at Christmas as well. There was also the occasional cotton tail for breakfast.
