Journalists @ NBC seem to have other issues with #camillevasquez other than being hired during layoffs. Reports say they think her hiring undercuts NBC's coverage of the Johnny Depp Amber Heard trial which included how toxic social media affected the outcome & its impact on domestic abuse cases.

Wow, NBC did WHAT?! Whenever she’s on air someone should constantly interrupt her and shout: “Objection!”

Just imagine you’re an NBC journalist, maybe have a degree. Worked your a$$ off to get hired at a big network. Then not only are your coworkers being fired, for some reason NBC hires the Sarah Palin of lawyers, a dolt who’s only famous because of TikTok misogyny. They have every right to be angry.

The piece is clear. It has less to do with her 'doing her job' than it does with her being hired in a role she may not be qualified for when qualified people are being laid off. Then, her being the figurehead of Depp's victory when reporting at the network called into question her team's tactics.

Many say that Camille’s strategy relied on perpetuating misogyny and abuse myths, and the teams behavior has been frequently been called unethical, suppressing evidence, making an SA testimony public. Essentially, they see her hiring as NBC rewarding that behavior.
