I'll never understand the desire for likes, viral whatnots and what fucks. But I guess that's just me.

No, I am no longer taking requests to like your spout so it goes viral if you've had other viral spouts. Kinda defeats the purpose of the viral tab. 🤷‍♀️

The one time a post here went "viral" I wished for Twitter's option to turn off notifications on a thread. I don't know how the big accounts deal with it.

Once I got like over 100 notifications within a few minutes and was like WTF? Is this broken? Then I found out it was because a handful of folks were liking every single spout in a couple lengthy threads! It adds up! LOL

Agree. Wanting "likes" and such seems so much like high school popularity contests. Why?

I think at its core it's a quest for validation. 😑

I suppose. I guess I've never experienced this validation thing in the same way as others.
