Many people in Canada don't have a primary care physician, sometimes the only option is the ER.

The only times I got through triage quickly to immediately was chest pains, and when my uvula was very swollen 3x its size.

NS has 811 service; you can talk to a nurse and they’ll tell you if you should go to the ER. When they tell you to go, they send your info ahead of time for faster triage.

We do have a service here as well. I have used it before myself with great results, but it's not a service in the front of people's minds, maybe it should be more advertised...it would be helpful for sure.

It’s not well advertised, here, either. We had a friend work there for a year, so we heard all the tales.

We’ve used it any time it wasn’t a true emergency (🩸)
