It launches the process of planning the work of a joint group of minesweepers that will deal with drifting mines. Detailed instructions for the ships will be developed over several months.

This mission will not be considered a NATO operation.

Why is this not a NATO operation? The ships to be used are from UK. Why are we tying the hands of the Ukrainians to preserve global food security by removing mines from the Black Sea?

This is a very good agreement. There has been arguing for months over how to accomplish this. Once Zelensky proposed a solution & got buy-in from UK & Norway to supply mining boats, it became a task of getting Turkey onboard. The only negative is democracies takes bloody forever to make a decision.
