I hear ya 👍🏻

As we have to replace appliances, we intend to stay analog as long as possible. My refrigerator, oven, or clothes washer does not need to tell their creator our shit

Besides, my wife works in security and is “Fuck that” concerning all that connectivity 😂
Trish @Trish
My appliances are definitely analog. 😂

Ooh - same! Mr. N is a software engineer, and we've both been online since the early-to-mid '90s. We have smartphones, but mostly we're only around them during the day, and leave them in another room in the evenings. Nothing else in this house is "smart" - and we plan on keeping it that way.

I'm with you. My daughter has some sort of spy device in her home, maybe Alexa. She and her husband discussed at length the pros and cons of going to a car show. He went, and she stayed home. She went on TikTok, and her feed was suddenly, for the first time, filled with car show ads. So creepy.

Yep

No Home pod, Ring, or anything like that.

Bad enough that because of my job, my Google metadata shows I’ve probably been diagnosed with every cancer/disease known to man 😂
