Thank you for breaking the Iowa numbers down and posting this here. An estimated 130 k voters in Iowa voted in the republican caucus tonight. Those paltry numbers are not “the pulse of America.” This “win” of Donald’s is meaningless. Focus on GOTV efforts and we Democrats will win.

Iowa Registered Voters: 2,083,979 (90+% of eligible registered)

‍Democrats: 631,689 (30.31%)
Republicans: 718,901 (34.50%)
3rd Party/Other: 18,289 (0.90%)
Unaffiliated: 715,100 (34.31%)

NBC estimates 130k voted in GOP caucus tonight

Maybe what 6.5% of *Iowa* voters think isn't that important

Exactly. And also, there’s the 40% who voted for DeSantis and Haley.

In terms of who turns out in presidential general elections, Iowa is a red state, not a swing state. What Republican caucus participants do in a red state is indeed irrelevant to the Electoral College result. Turning out intermittent Dem voters in the approx. 6 swing states is the entire ballgame.

Which specific Dem voters vote only intermittently is known (down to each voter) to all campaigns & voter turnout orgs bc our party affiliation, voter contact info & voting history are all public information which is contained in databases that are sold. That's why we can write, text & call them.
