I took three semesters of advanced calculus in college to get my engineering degree. Had to pass linear differential equations. ("diffie Q" still causes me to shiver from the memory).

However, 6x7 and 6x8 are blanks in the multiplication table in my head. Really. To this day, 6x7 requires I stop,

think, "ok, 3x7 = 21 and then x2 = 42." Likewise, 6x8 is, "3x8 = 24 and then x2 = 48."

I can't get those two numbers to absorb. I've used heavy math constantly in my career over decades.

Isn't it weird? Anybody else have a math blind spot they just can't fix?
