Oops-Dolph Lundgren isn't following the Warner Bros. corporate line. Re Aquaman II and Momoa:

"And I guess he got spooked with this Amber Heard situation and the fact that people weren't gonna see the movie because she's in it. I always thought that was overrated."

"Lundgren also referred to "the original," by which he means the first version of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. A version in which both he and Amber Heard reportedly had much bigger roles."

This essentially confirms (once again) that Amber Heard was telling the truth about her role being reduced, and that this was done to appease the Depp mob, not just because it was always planned or lack of chemistry or whatever contradictory excuse Wan and the corporate suits at WB are offering.

In response to Anton Brakhage.
It was the main thing that I thought didn’t ring true about the story. Her absence was weird. Why did they have Aquaman acting like a single dad? Is mom away on business? What’s the explanation?
