What's the most you're willing to pay for a meal from a food truck? I've been thinking a lot about food prices lately. I'm late to the game, I know, but it sucks that even grabbing a quick bite lately feels like a financial decision. What happened to cheap eats, and will they ever come back?

All the food trucks I've encountered have prices on par with most brick and mortar restaurants. They can be convenient, but have other expenses such as fuel that keep the prices similar.

Yup, they definitely have plenty of expenses, especially since labor is a huge expense. Ingredient prices are high either place. Seems like the value prop. of food trucks has definitely gone down though. If prices are the same and you are tipping regardless, might as well sit indoors with service.
