good to know.
Professor Kyle @blackcatprose
A quote from the town manager stands out: “We all thought it was [about] art at one time, but it really was an attack on the LGBTQ community.” Maybe he read my FB post! I wrote: "The focus on banning public art obscures the real threat – town sanctioned bigotry."

the alt-text is just the typing of the words on the photo for spouters who use digital readers (blind/people with disabilities.) digital readers cannot read the text on memes and photos. it's an inclusive feature. 😊

I know what it is, but pretty sure people don't need a 1,000 character treatise to describe a photo, it was a joke, didn't say it was a good joke. Why are spouts limited to 300, but alt text gets a 1,000?

i meant no offense at all.
i tried to say that if people we inclined to read that photo, then the alt-text was just that same text.

300+ threads. not bad.

thanks fireblazes.

If the photo is of a wall of text, yeah, alt-text may need to contain more characters than spouts allow.

Not everyone can read photos.
