In my mind no. Most of the things we’ve read have sexual content as a reason for banning. It has that, prostitution and assault. I think some of these ban people don’t think their kids should read anything upsetting or emotional, kinda dumb if you’re going to talk stranger danger to them anyway.

Stranger danger is exactly what I thought about. Kids need to be aware that things can happen. They need to read about things for their own protection.

And I thought this book made us aware of the dangers without being overly graphic. You can’t expect kids to be on guard if you shelter them entirely from what they should be guarding against.
