JK Rowling obviously. We read each Harry Potter as it came out along with my oldest nephew. It was the Star Wars of his generation. Have rewatched the movies many times. Rereading critically the subtle signs are there. You don’t need to use your money and fame to harm others. You just don’t.

Packers. I don’t have an official ride or die team but I rooted for them over several others for years. The cute cheese hats! Co-op ownership! But then the disappointment! What horrid people Farve and Rogers turned out to be!

I think that’s how it slid by, since it was a fantasy medieval setting, one looked past it as if those tropes were permissible in the past so they belonged in the story.
