Watching Finding Your Roots made me log into Ancestry again... and stare at that one family branch that just breaks off. #genealogy

I have a 2Xgreat grandfather that vanished by age 25, his wife remarried and died herself only a couple of years after him.
Other lines I can trace 200+ years.
I used to go to a Mormon Library 25 yrs ago on weekends and hand copy records, photocopy, scan thru microfiche. Amazing the tech now!

#FindingYourRoots is one of my favorite shows. I find working on Ancestry difficult though. Are you just struggling with how to use Ancestry or have you run out of information & hit a wall?

Ancestry has been immensely helpful, but I've hit a brick wall in not knowing exactly who my maternal great-great grandmother is. I have my hunch, but absolutely nothing concrete to prove it.

It really is! Makes me want to present my own mystery to their experts and give them puppy dog eyes while begging "find my great-great grandma, please?" Haha!
