My New Hampshire experience back in summer of 1971. I was a Camp counselor at Camp Kear Sarge in Elkins, N.H.

One of the best 8 weeks in my life at age 20 🏕

When I was young all the movies about summer camps, like "Meatballs" and "Friday the 13th", introduced me to a culture that was almost alien. Apart from short church and band camps (no more than a few days) I'd never heard of going off for the summer like this.

If I recall, the ages of these campers were 6-16. Wealthy kids from Boston, NYC or Florida (Miami area) We got paid at the end of the 8 weeks. ($850) but parents weekend brought unbelievable tips 💰

It was alot of fun. Sports, crafts, fishing, hiking...all of it!
