the utility sector is male-dominated and has been for a long time.

across the country, women account for about 20% of the utility workforce. our workforce is better. but not much.

we’ve been asking ourselves why.

Start a hiring campaign that's something like the old Rosie the Riveter idea, but ... Rosie the Flower of the Sewers? She'll make your waste come out smellin' like a Rose! haha

It’s seen as dirty work or utility pole climbing by women … at least in my ( old) mind.. but I’m all for cleaning toilets, climbing a ladder or digging in the dirt! Time for a change..

we're seeing change and welcoming more. our workforce is about 30% female.

our leadership team is diverse, experienced, and award-winning. from recruiting to representation, we are committed to inclusion and opportunity for women. always have been. but we are more invested now than ever before.

we celebrate women in non-traditional roles like our operations and maintenance teams. but we need more of them. we need their experiences, their perspectives, their commitments to service.

we want you to know that you can contribute and make a difference here.
