Proving collusion amongst the owners is gonna be difficult for #LamarJackson if he goes that route.
Barring any leaked direct communication between owners implicitly colluding to lowball him to "make a point," owners will have a myriad of excuses to say why they weren't interested:

1. Watson's contract was unprecedented. Just because the #Browns were dumb enough to give him that kind of money to convince him to live in #Cleveland , it doesn't mean other teams will be willing to do the same.

2. Recent contracts like that of #RussellWilson have proven to be HUGE burdens on a team. If Wilson doesn't make a massive leap next year, his contract is a franchise killer. Teams will be much more reluctant to risk that much as a result.

3. If a team thought Lamar was worth the largest fully guaranteed contract ever, a #FULLYGUARANTEED contract means the full contract amount needs to be available in cash AT SIGNING and put in an escrow account...as rich as #nfl owners are, $250m+ is hard to just have lying around

4. He was a unanimous #MVP . Cool. What has he done in the playoffs? How many times has he been hurt when the team REALLY needed him. Getting hurt isn't necessarily his fault but...sorry that shit plays a factor.

5. His playing style is tragically not on conducive to longevity. Right or wrong, owners could claim they're getting #RGIII flashbacks

6. Owners/GMs can just say they aren't interested in negotiating directly with a player...especially not after seeing how poorly it's been going between the #Ravens having to work out a contract with Lamar directly rather than through an agent.

Without an agent, teams are going to have to play hardball with him directly...that's gonna sour ANY relationship between him and the front office.
The league is a business and with a HARD SALARY CAP, teams will always try to get the best deal for itself.
