Under Trump the White House Medical Unit was a pill-mill. Thousands of ambien & provigil per month.

Worse, for a clinic that doesn’t typically do procedures w/ moderate sedation they sure are they ordering prodigious quantities of morphine, fentanyl, versed, & ketamine…?

The source of the document is the White House Medical Unit.

The Inspector General report was largely concerned with the enormous cost of prescribing these non-genetic meds.

It’s worth pointing out that dispensing prescription meds without documentation is malpractice. In the case of controlled substances it’s also likely a crime.

The IG Report only had 2 years of data (& was unable to get data going back earlier).

Agree that more data would put this in context, though the whole reason for the IG investigation was because prescribing apparently increased so much under the Trump administration.

In theory, the White House Medical Unit is only supposed to care for POTUS, VPOTUS, the first & second families, the cabinet, visiting dignitaries, & “senior” staff.

Unclear how many people qualify but clearly they were dispensing to a much larger pool of people, many of whom were ineligible.
