There is a case before SCOTUS about criminalizing being unhoused.

The largest corporations intentionally kept prices high, contributing to homelessness.

The same corporations are dependent on prison labor.

I usually stick to connecting spiritual dots, but does anyone else see what I am seeing?

Yes. I've taken some of my students to tour some of the prison industries in our state. They think it's great that CO inmates get to build furniture & motorcycles, raise goats & cows & fish, etc...until they learn that the inmates only make $.84 - $1.15 PER DAY. Slave labor much? Then they get mad!

13th Amendment didn't actually end slavery. Go to jail, you become a legal slave of the state. That's why majority of prisoners in US are of African descent.
