A friend in her early 60s just recovered from the acute stage of her 3rd covid infection. Her 2nd in 8 months. She said luckily it was mild this time. Last infection she was hospitalized. I tried to impart how important it is that she not catch covid again but fear she won't listen.

With rapidly accumulating evidence of the damage covid wreaks after initial infection, in my experience STILL nobody wants to know.

I hope your son is doing okay after his first bout last week. So far my husband and I have avoided it too but my brother and 80 year old dad are living like it's 2019 despite the many conversations we've had on the topic 🙁

He didn’t get desperately ill and is feeling much better already. I’m more concerned about repeat infections. He usually works in an office alone but is sometimes exposed to large numbers of people during special events.
