Is it an Elephant Heart grafted? so, such a wise choice to graft it to the Santa Rosa.

I picked up 3 scions at an exchange. They were identified as Satsuma, Burgundy and Japanese late bearing. No elephant heart in the id. If any of the graphs take off, I’ll go back next year and look for other varieties.

Elephant heart is a late-bearing Japanese variety that is pollinated by Santa Rosa. My favorite plum. If that is what you have, you are in for a treat once it produces.

Thank you for the info! It’s always good to learn something. Guess I now have to wait a few years.
