As a type-2 diabetic I'm intrigued by the metformin application. Somebody help me out, wasn't it originally a chemo drug?

I take Metformin as a type 2 and I think it's poison! I have no idea how people take more than 1 pill. The gastro effects is like nothing I've ever experienced in my life. If I didn't have to take it I wouldn't. Thinking about trying Ozempic. My doctor has been trying to get me to for a while.

Due to covid and other illness I've been off my meds for about 6 months. I agree with you regarding metformin. My lower gi is happier. But I'm gonna get back on it as soon as I can see the doc.

If you find an effective med that doesn't cost $1000/mo lemme know.

I know. Ozempic is $150 with our insurance. 1 metformin doesn't do enough for my type 2. I read that Ozempic can cause the same issues though.
