Black History Month has arrived, & I learn more-and-more each year of the significant contributions of Black Americans. I am not proud that I am just now finding out significant contributions. It is more saddening that so much of this history never saw a history textbook in my history classes.

I read about A. Philip Randolph this morning and his leadership forming the first black labor union, the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters at the Pullman Company...and the role that had in establishing Labor Day later in that same year. Wow!
