Performers also no longer announce that they are canceling their shows due to Covid. This is because most insurance contracts for performers now contain a clause exempting Covid from coverage. It's always "a respiratory virus" or "mysterious illness."

Question for those who think COVID is "over:" why do performing arts venues and events organizers put clauses into ticket purchases absolving them of liability if you contract COVID at their event?
Surely if COVID was in fact "over," this wouldn't be necessary, right?
