Maybe I'm old(er) and jaded, but there's nothing that Spoutible has that a hacker can get that I'm worried about.

And hackers are gonna hack. Everywhere.

I use unique strong passwords for my Spoutible accounts that don't overlap with my other passwords. I use 2FA for all accounts.

My email and phone number are already everywhere.

A woman in Florida and a woman somewhere in Europe routinely give out my email instead of their own, I'm assuming we have the same last name and first initial. I have to Google translate various languages to unsubscribe from listservs.

I already get porn scam in my email. I already get spam calls.

What Spoutible doesn't have is my SSN, bank account, or credit card numbers.

And those have already been compromised by other platforms at various times, including former employer and retirement system.

This pales in comparison to me.

We as users have a responsibility everywhere to use strong passwords and to be vigilant, especially with clicking on suspicious links, and responding to suspicious emails/phone calls, or even not so suspicious.

Scammers and hackers are everywhere. And they are sophisticated, more so every day.
