I don’t understand a thing that my son says about physics BUT it helps him do better to understand when explaining the problems and I ask stupid questions. As a parent, I will gladly do this. #WorkingTogether

Same here... when my kids were in high school, I had a hard time understanding their math and I'm a math major! (must be old math).

Where I am able to help is sharing info on how to approach a problem, which seem to transcend old or new math 😅

New math is silly to me, but at least I kind of understood its silliness. He’s a college sophomore who is living with me and working part time to be debt free. I just finished my student loan payments a year ago & happy t o accommodate.

I think the principles are the same (math is math) but the methods used to teach them have evolved (at least, that's what I tell myself).
