In light of the Tucker interview with Putin, I have a few words. And by that, I mean fact-checking links. Firstly, Putin is undermining US support for Ukraine, saying there is no point. He also claimed Ukraine is claiming independence b/c Nazism, which is as wild and ridiculous as it sounds.

The history and relationship between Russia and Nazi Germany led up to World War II and had an impact on the start of that war. This was because of the MRP, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, which was the Soviet-Nazi non-aggression agreement over territory. Both the USSR and Nazis targeted Jewish people.

Putin has a history with disinformation spreading regarding Russian history. Previous Ukraine US Ambassador Marie Yavonovitch talked about this, even during her interview while Trump was under investigation for one of his impeachments.

Marie Yavanovitch & her family fled the USSR & Nazi Occupation of Europe, so she remembers Russia was willing to let all that slide, and gave territory for Nazi Germany to do that. So the invasion of Ukraine was familiar in nature. https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/f...

And wildly, Elon Musk was mentioned and his loyalties to democracy came up since he began tweeting RT talking points. He has regarded Russian invasion as a right, and balked at supporting Ukraine support. https://www.politico.eu/ar...

And of course, the biggest segment of this was devoted to Putin re-writing history to his advantage. But we know better, and by we, I mean real historians not Putin backed RT BS. https://www.reuters.com/wo...

Putin also deflected and claimed victimhood, which is of course ANOTHER tactic of his. He also blamed the US for the bombing of the NORD Stream, referring to the mysterious blasts in September 2022 that ripped apart the Russia-to-Germany undersea gas pipelines.

The most WILD WTF moment in the interview was Putin ordering an aide to hand him copies of the 17th century letters written by the Cossack Bohdan Khmelnytsky to prove to Carlson he is not “inventing things,” telling the ex-Fox News host that he can translate the documents into English “later.”

Putin had refused interviews with Western Media before, because it was with journalists who wouldn't support his propaganda train. Tucker acted like no one wants to hear from Putin. https://www.npr.org/2024/0...

He also claimed Ukraine & Russia are of the same family, & he is trying to reunite them, & said he isn't invading Ukraine. That is of course a blatant lie, and disinformation campaign. He also talked about The Crimea Crisis, which is when Putin invaded Crimea, a part of Ukraine then, & annexed it.

In addition, Putin claimed that Ukraine violated the Minsk Agreements of which there are two, 1) Ukraine is a sovereign nation under the Minsk Protocol, and 2) a ceasefire b/t Russia/Ukraine. This is his propaganda which he has been spewing since he begun this latest invasion in 2021.

Notice the relationship between Putin and Trump changed in 2016? Well, there was Russian backed support to get Trump into office and this is part of the entire Mueller Investigation, which has many podcasts discussing it, like award-winning Mueller She Wrote. "Russia, if you're listening -"

This investigation was not political, but was foreign policy related to our elections. There had already been a fear of Russian-backed US election tampering among Foreign Service Workers and folks like Marie Yavonvitch, and US national security council folks like Alexander Vindman.

Lt. Col Alexander Vindman talks about this. Vindman was also fired by Trump for not lying on the stand for him during Trump's Impeachment trial. Vindman gave a much more honest interview regarding Putin's war on Ukraine. https://scrippsnews.com/st...

So what are our takeaways from this interview with Putin? Well, nothings changed in regard to Russian tactics, but our support of Ukraine must remain resolute because it is having an impact, enough for Putin to belittle it. And, that this upcoming election needs significant protection from Russia.
