I just recently transitioned to black and slightly sweet after years of drinking with lots of creamer.

Huh! I never realized that the way I like my coffee is reflective of my thoughts: dark, complex, and capable of keeping me up at night.

I used to add Sugar in the Raw to my coffee, but I had to eliminate all sugars to manage my health. That said, and being from Canada, I sometimes add a few drops of maple syrup on special occasions.

Maple syrup is how I was able to switch! Visiting my mom, and desperate for coffee despite no creamer. Tried a small dallop of maple syrup and fell in love.

I believe this qualifies you for Canadian citizenship.

"Have you ever had maple syrup in your coffee?" is the second question immigration asks after asking you to name Canada's Prime Minister.
