Can we stop hurling the word dementia around as an insult? Dementia is a specific (often devastating) disease process.

Normal patterns of aging include increased cognitive processing time and inarticulate speech due to weakening lingual muscles. These things are normal and do not = dementia.

IMO, having lived through this three times with family members, tfg shows far more behavior symptomatic of the disease than Biden. In BIden's case, I would say more like normal age and stress.

Exactly right. Old people are old sometimes, it shouldn't be shocking and it doesn't mean they can't do useful things.
