Can we stop hurling the word dementia around as an insult? Dementia is a specific (often devastating) disease process.

Normal patterns of aging include increased cognitive processing time and inarticulate speech due to weakening lingual muscles. These things are normal and do not = dementia.

During President Biden's speech the other evening addressing the Special Council's findings, did anybody notice the first half of the speech was "quotation". Not once did he look at a note or a prompt. He does not have dementia. Squirm on it!
