A big difference between British vs American English is that British English sounds different from place to place (especially between the mini-nations like England vs Scotland especially) while American English is mostly the same often indistinguishable geographically.

It's funny when English press or commenters about Andy Murray if he wins he's British, he loses he's a scot. That's what the Scots put up with
