There was one recently found in France, too. In the trade, these are called, "White Hydrogen" to distinguish them from "Green Hydrogen", which is made using renewable energy to split water, and "Grey Hydrogen" which is made by reforming methane.

Pardon my ignorance but is the methane gray because of the splitting process outputting as much carbon as it removes by using methane or is it that methane production is just inherently not green but it is better than using water 🤔

It is grey because it emits CO2'as part of the reforming process.
