It’s the violence attached to sports that has kept me away. Since grammar school!

My late partner was a native Texan and football was part of his cultural DNA. Like many, whenever he watched football he'd become a completely different person. It was ugly. Testosterone surges are real. It's not like he'd be dangerous. Just irrational. I avoided being home when football was on.

But I’ve also seen women get worked up like that too. Not as common, but it’s there.

"Testosterone is an androgen found in both men and women. In female bodies, testosterone is converted quickly into estrogen, while in men it remains mostly as testosterone. In women, testosterone plays a role in reproduction, growth, and general health." -- Healthline

Is it the same with women? IDK

I think all humans can get worked up about things regardless of hormones.
