Question for mild #asthma sufferers out there: Is there a non-steroidal medication currently available? Ready to throw my Breo in the trash. I work out 7 days a week and I’m gaining weight. Desperately need an alternative. Google is turning up options that are discontinued. Help!

If you need a daily medication, is your asthma really mild? I'd check in with a pulmonologist... Thankfully I don't need my rescue inhaler too often. I'm still good with a basic albuterol inhaler.

Well, I say mild because I’ve never had a severe attack, and my test showed mild obstruction. I was having some wheezing, mostly at night & feeling a bit winded on the treadmill. Maybe it’s not mild. At any rate, I’m looking to ditch the steroids.

Can't say I blame you! Steroids are rough. Definitely check in with a good pulmonologist - they'll tell you what will work for your particular situation.

I think I will schedule with the pulmonologist who read my tests. My GP, in the same hospital network, is worthless. In addition to a new asthma treatment, I also need a new GP. 😩

I'm sorry. Good luck finding a good GP - that's kind of important!
