A bit of #genealogy trivia.
I have ancestors on my mother's side who we now call "Pennsylvania Dutch". They migrated North by wagon train from "Old-Order" colonies in Pennsylvania, into Canada in the early-to-mid 1800's, to escape religious persecution in Europe. Like in the old Western movies.

The trivia bit is that they emigrated to the States from what is now Germany, not the Netherlands. They self-identified as Deutsch (pronounced "doitch") and originating in Deutschland (Germany). They were mistakenly labelled as Dutch by the locals in their travels North.
