Watching the lamentations roll in about Navalny's death are showing the worldwide reach of whiteness, privilege & selective amnesia. Navalny was not a shining white knight of a hero for standing against Putin. He was an AVOWED white nationalist who despised refugees of color so bad -- ESPECIALLY

Muslim ones -- that he depicted them as roaches and terrorists in his campaign commercials. He even pretended to shoot one in a commercial like he was a damn action hero. I'm sick of short attention spans & the ignorance folks have about world politics & how it all connects to us here. Just

because someone is against Putin shouldn't mean they're automatically celebrated like a sterling ally. Navalny was problematic as fuck & would never have wanted people like me living in Russia. Let him transition & learn what he should've understood in this lifetime. Enough with the hero worship.

You're welcome, Dina. I felt so frustrated reading the news today and all the people hailing him as a hero. He was far from that. Selective amnesia & whiteness are really something.

Don't we know it always is, sis. I'm sick of seeing people worship him like he was Santa Claus. Folks really put their ignorance & whiteness on full display with the way they praised him. I'm sick of it.
