Snowball

This is the engine room funnel from the U.S.S Maine, which was sunk, in Havana, Cuba in 1898. It's located in a little town in Northern New Jersey, Pompton lakes. I grew up 2 towns over and went by it more times than I can count until I finally learned what it was.

I grew up in Butler. Was always heading down hamburg take to somewhere lol just never knew what that was, plus it's in a weird spot.

It is in a weird spot. I worked in Butler for a commercial printer in the old rubber factory building. Small world. 😀

Yeah really😁 that rubber factory was still operating when I was a kid. The smell was horrendous! But they used to dump rubber by products in a dump where the Lowes in 23 is now. Lots of cool things for a kid to play with, if you had an imagination. I lived within walking distance of that dump.
