I had heard about this insane and dangerous ruling by the Alabama supreme court, but they site religion as the legal rational?!?!? What the fuck

“Justice Thomas Parker wrote: “Human life cannot be wrongfully destroyed without incurring the wrath of a holy God…”

What The FUCK !

Now what would happen if there were to be a malfunction of the freezer where embryos were stored, and the embryos were lost? Multiple murder charges against the clinic/facility? This is a very nasty can of worms they've opened.

You can't do IVF without losing some embryos, so the point is to stop the entire process.

Then this is the way to do it. Clinics/facilities will be afraid of potential criminal charges. Just as abortion clinics and OB/GYN docs now are.

Would this also allow them to prosecute women for having miscarriages? In many states they are being investigated under abortion laws.

Straight up terrorizing women, doctors, and nurses.

You may be right. Because a certain percentage of IVF procedures DO fail. So with this ruling, an IVF failure could be called a murder.
