Several spouters already posted this news. Here are my thoughts:

The Texas judge did what many judges do to Black plaintiffs/defendants in court; look for the loophole(s) preventing fair treatment. The Texas CROWN Act omitted a provision covering hair length. The ommission is probably intentional.

Now that we know the loophole is there, the work can begin to get that discriminating loophole closed! They spend sooo much time searching for and exploiting loopholes--we then do the work to close them. A dark twisted yin and yang I suppose.

I agree work needs to be undertaken to close the loophole. I don't think it will be an easy task. The CROWN Act failed in my state because white employers of restaurants, hospitals, and mfg companies claimed long Black hair in braids was DIRTY and therefore should not be allowed. So, the law failed.

It won't be an easy task, you're absolutely right. It's never quick or easy (was it ever?) or maybe I'm just jaded anymore. But. We. Must. I loathe them for making it so. 💙
